The overall WORK scope was the Design Completion (Complementary Studies and Basic Engineering), Detailed Engineering, Procurement, Supply, Transportation, Fabrication, Construction, Pre-Commissioning, Commissioning and assistance with start-up of the Northern Option Pipe Line (NOPL) PIPELINE. This included a 24” diameter pipe, approximately sixty (60) kilometers long between Rumuji Node and Imo River / Owaza Node, including all pipeline, piping, valves and appurtenances. It also involved the installation of a Fiber Optic Cable with all necessary connections, SCADA, and Cathodic Protection Systems and Above Ground Installations.Another major scope was the Above Ground Works to join the pipeline to existing systems or make provision for connection to future systems at Rumuji, Obigbo and Imo River / Owaza Nodes.
Desicon was primiraly responsible for Engineering support, some out of country procurement, transportation, construction related to the cathodic protection and some E&I scope as well as commissioning support.
